AEON Malaysia with UNIDO (United Nation Industrial Development Organization) had joint had organized a Malaysian Food Industry SME development program called as Supplier Sustainability Development Program (SSDP).
The main objective this program is to assist Food Industry SMEs in Malaysia to implement GMP and HACCP concepts in their company. Around 28 SMEs (mainly AEON suppliers took part in the 3 months program). I was assigned as mentor for 3 SMEs under this project and all them did exceptionally well.
I was privileged to attend a ToT session sponsored by UNIDO- AEON which was conducted by the one of Founding member of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative ).
Site Visit to CNI Holdings and Exclusive Mark Malaysia Date : 30 October 2013 p/s : Exclusive Mark Malaysia is the production facility subsidiary of CNI. Among products manufactured are coffee, tea, royal jelly powder and vegetable powders/ingredients. The RM 25 million factory have GMP and HACCP systems.
Date : 19 August 2013 Venue : Beryl's Processing Plant in Bangi. p/s : The processing center beautifully designed, looks like castle rather than a factory. The plant also have chocolate museum.

p/s : KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital's kitchen is HACCP certified. Most public and private hospitals' kitchen in Malaysia are yet to be certified with HACCP Food Safety System. Lets hope in near future all hospital kitchens in the country will be certified so that in-patients' food are safe and high quality. Bravo for KPJ Ampang Puteri to lead the way !
